OK guys, I want to match the rear 17" with a front 17" wheel. What have you guys done to do this conversion? I know Honda made a 17" front for a Honda Shadow but thought I would ask here before commisioning a custom wheel and spoke job for 300 bucks.
Thanks,
17" Front wheel for my 77 Wing/Bob project

Bjat, I am not aware of any other option, but others may know of other wheels to swap in.
I found the end of the internet

OK custom wheel it is. I have a guy that can lace my hub to a custom 17" wheel with special spokes that won't bow. When I get ready to roll with this bike I will definitley post up pics of the rim...

FWT I use Woodys Wheels out of denver to lace my wheels. Great selection of spokes and nipples.

Re: 17" Front wheel for my 77 Wing/Bob project
Another option for improved handling and fatter front tire is swapping the front off a gl1200, triple trees, forks and down. Mostly a bolt and go. Cyborg just did it on the Raptor. You would have different rims though. Lester is mag, but not same as 1200.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Re: 17" Front wheel for my 77 Wing/Bob project
I'm running the standard 1200 wheel on the front, (16") , and a 16" lester on the back. handles great, and the look is close enough for me. I think the mono shock also helps the handling
