I really like the way your build is going. Looks real sharp. What are you going to be doing paint wise?

You'll get advice from our Guru's shortly, but I'd say it is definitely important - get or make a replacement.
Re engine flush, drain half the oil, fill back up with MMO, run bike at low rpm to full operating temp, drain, replace with new oil (motorcycle not car oil) and new oil filter.

As you are going to pull the motor, do the starter clutch cleanup described in Shop Talk (Octane) and I would suggest opening up your oil scavenge pump, checking it out, and do the gasket mod described by Octane/Old Fogey.
Also take off the oils strainer and scrape out any sludge/debris from the bottom of the sump there.

May as well check your water pump too while it is easy, if you haven't already.

Bike's looking real good tho tumb2

The clip keeps the sprocket from coming off the shaft, for one thing. It's there for a reason, I would make sure it's there when it goes back together

It's broken an after looking at the engine break down how can it back off because it rides on the back of the flywheel doesn't it ?
