Thanks boys for your words. It was the hardest ride i ever did. Not for the roads or the bike..... more the fact, that I'm be able to enjoy this really beautiful land and this very kindly people there in Scotland. To enjoy these things happens to me and not to be able to share this all with my best friend ever, my wife Sabine.

Greetings
Harald

So very glad you came back and checked in, Harald. I was wondering if you made the trip (and sent you a PM some time ago). Boy, did you ever make that trip for her. I respect that beyond measure.

Don't be a stranger. Move ahead, but you'll always be looking back.

Harald,
Awesome & touching journey.

Hey Harald, thank you for posting this wonderful report of your ride for Sabine.

It was a sad and a happy story, both at the same time. May the joy you experienced too stay with you.

PS: I love the character of your 'rubber cow', she certainly has a personality all of her own!

Hello my freinds,
it took a long time for news about Uschi. I was still working several times this year at the bike. There was a problem with the dutch frame and the dutch papers of Uschi. So I had to search a new frame with german papers. It's so much easier to get a German license plate with a frame and german papers.

So I bought a 75 frame and sanded and painted the new frame.

Then I had to disassemble Uschi and reassemble her. That is the moment where i could fix some mistakes and change some ideas.
Here the engine is in the new frame action1

and the cooler ist in place, I will mount this side panels and a chrome radiator grill. It looks like a radiator grill from an old english Rolls-Royce :-)

And I placed the Honda CBR 600 Clipons. the radial brake cylinder comes from a Suzuki GSXR

And even the rims get some nice things... now everyone can read, "yes it's a Goldwing' dancr

So you see, the work will be continued and the spirit of Uschi will rise again. And there are still good news. I found a new Girl. And she works with me on Uschi.

The plan is, to mount a licens Plate in April and in 21st June the ferry towards Scotland is booked. So next year Uschi will see the highlands and the atlantic ocean. This will be a trip for me to visit the lovely places I saw three yeas ago.

Greetings
Harald

So, the work will continue....

the wheels are in and Uschi looks like a motorcycle again. It's a good feeling, watching her grow up. the winter is around the corner an my workshop has no heating... so I had to go on

Yesterday we build the pulserless for the digital speedo. I want to place the pulserless in the rear. So wie bulid a housing for the magnet at the rear breakdisk

and drilled the pulserless in the arm of the brake caliper

next we will install the ignition coils and the false tank frame. I want to change the backlights and the winker with smaler ones from an old CB750 Honda.

It feels good staying again in the workshop and building a bike.

Greetings

Harold,
Nice work. What about the wiring harness; are you re-wiring or using & upgrading the old harness?
