Re: Cafe'nated 'Wing
Was taking out my carbs for the 3rd time trying to chase down a hiccup in the #2 carb... found an air leak and all better now.
BUT, when re-installing the throttle cables I noticed that my pull-cable is not like the ones I see online. On the carb-side of the pull cable, mine is missing the adjuster nut that sits just above the half-round washer.. it's just the bare cable sleeve up against the washer. Without that nut, the threaded barrel sticks down an extra 1/2"... and it interferes with the turning of the throttle bellcrank on the carbs... so I'm only getting about 1/2 throttle before I run out of cable and the bellcrank hits the threaded sleeve. How could I have possibly lost that nut ?: the cable is threaded through it.
New cables on the way.

The old gray mare got top pick at MotoMondays at the 5 Star Bar in Chicago... weekly event put on by "Ton Up Club Chicago", "59 Club Chicago", "Wreckless Chicago" and ""Mods vs. Rockers" bike clubs (etal). Got a nice plaque and the photographer Henry Fajardo took some great pics.
