Do you know which other models that spacer is common with. Does not seem like it would be unique to your GL1100.

If you dont have any luck finding a spacer measure the thickness it needs to be and I could make you one. If it is the same size as a gl1000 I could measure mine for the correct size. Let me know if that will help and I will make it up and send it for the cost of shipping.

Small update - took the old fuel tank that was not used anymore and cut and shut it so it now has a small door in it and carpet.
Now I can just pop off side cover and use it for storage

Yes, clever. Maybe you should have put a good lock on it and you could store gold and such. Give new meaning to the name! (sorry, it's early and I am giddy).

Seat has been made up but is held up by the wait for the Honda moly 60 paste which by the way cost $67 a tube here in australia so I'm waiting for the postman now. More updates in the next week

Another update- Got the seat done !! :) Its starting to feel like a bike now.

First covered everything up and taped up for a mold of fibreglass
Then cut and cleaned it up
Then give the mold to an ace friend of the family who makes it into a wicked seat.
Its super comfy too cause I bent down and cut out a little bit of the frame brace and re welded it together.
This gave me and couple of inches extra foam under the bum but not above the frame.
