Did you have to modify the air filter box to accommodate the tank? It would have to be shortened I think.

I'm not sure what your asking ... But I done away with the factory air box an used a round 4" filter an made top intake plate with a round pipe just big enough for the filter to slip down on top of the plate ... Hope this helps

If you look on page two I show how I cut down the air box to make it all fit

Chartoo, I'm finally getting my wing on the road, did you have to do any rejetting with the airbox modifications? Mine seems pretty lean on top.

Put pregnant wife in nice chair in garage, give her ice cream and play HER favorite music, while you work on bike.

Maybe an option is closing off some of filter's curtain area, the outside edge where air can enter. Try duct tape or similar to find the zone that seems best, 1/4 -3/8-1/2 of the edge, then make a more permanent solution. Don't be surprised if it isn't more than 1/2. The 1100 openings are not very big, but the plenum volume was more than what you have.

I've done the jet chasing routine, and Keihin's are complicated because of their multiple circuits.
