when i cut the seat foam that i spoke about earlier i cut it to use with out a pan. i had to cut out part of the bottom to get it to lay right over the shock mounts. this was less than comfortable so i cobbled the pan together from the original seat bracket and a folding chair.
the foam didnt fit right so i ditched it and rode on the pan for a while.
not as uncomfortable as you would think.
i figure that when the time comes i will splice the two together to make a proper seat and cover it with an appropriate yet unknown (as of now) material.
here is what i will be working with.

i want to sit here and keep adding things that i want to show you but i have to go now.
i will leave you tonight with a photo of my new noise maker for the shop.
i figured a renewed project was a good enough excuse to pop for a new shop radio.
hopefully your enjoying my illness half as much as i am.
more boring stuff tomorrow if all goes well.

speaking of the rear of the bike, i reached into my small library of parts and pulled out the discs i plan to modify to fit the rear wheels.
these and a slightly larger rear tire should look good i think.

while im not real big on theme bikes per se, i do like the occasional odd ball part.
here are a couple i intend to use:
-the breaker bar will become a jiffy stand
-the wrench will become a brake lever

i have also bought , traded for, and scrounged up a few more parts and pieces that i think will work well on this build.
here they are.
-the red fire extinguisher bottle is to become an overflow bottle
-the driving lights and the relay will provide navigational support

i think i will modify the stock bars and use them.
i will also continue to use the risers that i put on the bike right after i got it.
those risers are old and were covered with flaky chrome.
i removed the chrome and painted them with semi gloss black.
i bolted them back on to get an idea of how they looked painted.
it is agreat improvement and is what made up my mind to use them and the stock bars.

well other than the fact that i used this procject as an excuse to feed my other addiction(tools) i guess thats all i have for now.
looks like its time to get dirty and get something done.
unfortunately, i have to work to afford the project, so i will have to just find the time to get it done.
