Come up with a tee shirt and get that blower on there. I'd buy one out of appreciation for your build documentation and I'm pretty sure many others here enjoy.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Alrighty, back in the shop with No Quarter. First off I am going to relocate the lisc plate, and add a new headlight. I think this one goes quite well!!

It's a Super Cool Old school Headlight, with steel powdercoated body and real brass ring..

A few years later...

I'm converting the speedo/tach on my GL1000 -77, but can't find anyone explaining the tricks to it. There's only two coils for 4 cylinders, so I can't hook it up there. Anyone know how to attach probe to cylinder 1, or any other method for the tachometer?

Any tips for the speedometer? Place the magnet and coil almost at center of front wheel or any other ideas?

I don't know what tach your using, but usually you just tap into either wire going to the coil. Either the yellow or blue/yellow going to one coil is all that's needed.
