Thank you very much.
What's next?
What indeed.
Well a little heal-time off. I have some intake manifolds to make for some folks.
Checking CL for a donor bike right now. Thinking of doing a showroom painted & polished version of Sparky...but things are always changing.

it took me a couple of hours to read/scan your thread.
you did some really cool tricks! Never seen the pull dempers before; very cool. First I thought you'd hardtailed it

very cool homebuild low budget way of raking the head also and still in a very solid way. Top Job!

and I found more details about the battery. Hopefully I can find them overhere as well.

Thanks EHE, Glad you enjoyed the read. I've had some other folks that didn't notice the rear suspension also.
I guess THAT is a good complement too.
Good luck with that battery.

Beautiful Bike, Great work.

Being that the seat is lower, and the pegs appear to be in the stock location.

That would be a great candidate for forward foot pegs & forward controls.
1983 GL1100I Beige was an Interstate, Now Naked, Refresh & needs repaint
1984 GL1200A Naked 4Cyl.Valkyrie, Single Valk. seat & Valk. Gas Tank

1988 GL1500 76 k miles, Naked 6cyl. building into a HotRod trike. (Under Construction)
1999 GL1500 45K miles Runs excellent

HOTT, you are a baaad maaan!!!
That looks so great! I love the suspension mods.
Do your pipes scrape when you put it into a hard corner? I lowered a virago a bit and after the fact discovered that she'd bottom out in if I leaned to much into a right-hander! (this is how I learn :IDTS: )

Thanks a mundo,
Forwards? I can see where some people would.
For me, I like the stretched out knees up style.
'Sparky is an 'Attitude' or mood ride for me.
Hard to explain, unless you own one.
Hmmm kinda like motorcycling

Look at post #160. The color is an Audi Cranberry. The inset color
was made with a chocolate milk tan with enough cranberry added
to 'connect' the two colors. It is base coat / clear coat. I use two stage clear.

Ha!, thanks rrn. It's an illusion. It is not lower. I haven't been able to
scrape it. Not even a little bit. Now I don't cafe race with it either
Keep the pics comming
You bet ! :orange

Amazing build. But what did you do with the points cover!? Thats too cool! And are there any supports other that the header studs for your exhaust? was thinking about trimming mine down and that issue came to mind...
But seriously, mind-blowing build!

Thanks DD
I used the rusty old gnarly original. Cleaned it up, painted it gold. Clear coat and black.
Wet sand the black until the gold comes thru. Clear coat the whole deal. I did the same thing with
the Wing logos. The little flecks of gold you see is gold paint hiding inside rust pits.
The exhaust is just flange bolts. It (so far) has proven to be sufficient. Braces would probably be smart.
Thanks again.
