Where's the trailing arm for the drivers side rear? The shock mount and seat support.
Good Eye, (the first photo had the footpegs upside down and backwards). I'm a little outside the box (more like out of the box and caught a bus) on this next part. Scrounging parts. Stay tuned....

I have to see if you're still working on this. I am close to being a copy cat. Anyone here have concerns for the gl1000 front forks with this setup? It does look like there will be a lot more stress on the forks as they are stretched to different load angle. All advice appreciated. If I can find a decent 83, I'll swap the front ends from that one.

eric, Still working on it. Have a post coming soon. I (me personally) have no reservations on strength. You are correct there is more folding stress at the lower fork clamp standing still. Ask yourself, 'is there more stress here (lower fork clamp) hitting bumps? or more stress in stock location with dual disc front brakes in a panic stop from say 45mph ?' That's my simple seat of the pants reasoning anyway. So... you're doing the Strrretch ? Let's see some pix

I haven't started, it'll be a while. I'm a rank amateur, and I have to practice my welding. I haven't even torn down the bike yet. It won't be until later January I think, but I do like photos and sharing. I like the way yours is looking so far.
