Hello from Central Florida!

#1

Post by Giuliano »

Hello everyone!
So after selling my long time owned 86 GL1200 interstate just prior to covid time, I have recently purchased a
79 GL1000 to add to my small collection of old Hondas. I loved the GL1200 and logged many miles, but have always
wanted an "original" GL1000 series. I'm all about "preservation class" and this one is no different than my others -
Original paint, bone stock, reasonably known history, and reasonable miles.
I'll post a few pics when I figure out how, but as an older retired guy, may take some time.
The GoldwingDocs formum was very helpful with the GL1200, I'm sure this forum will be very helpful with sorting out the new to me GL1000. So thanks in advance for any and all assistance and support!

Welcome! IMHO, the '79 (properly maintained) with maybe just an added luggage rack, is the perfect around-town errand-runner. Wish I had held on to mine, but just too many bikes to store.
