Saying hello

#1

Post by McTrucky »

Hi folks,
New owner here. Just bought a GL1000 from 1976 that has not been run in 30 years. Parked up in 1991.

Hoping to get it on the road here in Scotland to enjoy the summer, but might be being optimistic. The big question is "Why was it parked up....?".

Cheers
Alan

Welcome from Wisconsin, USA. Whatever the reason it was parked, most everything mechanical is going to need at least some attention. Check out the ShopTalk link in my signature for many pointers on bringing an oldWing back to life.

ahhhh....I was curious why I'd never heard of a Piranha ignition system, before now :-D

oldfogey, (John ) very likely has worked with this optical ignition system in his shop, before now; at least one time ;)
