Thank you for having me! I just purchased a 1977 GL1000 with full Vetter Windjammer Fairing and matching bags and trunk. I plan on putting it back to stock. Bikes in ok shape. I know the owner quite well. It hasn’t been ridden in two years but carbs and tank were drained before storage. I’ll be asking for help once I start restoration. Can’t wait to get it on the road!!

Welcome from Maine!

Start a build thread over in restorations if you haven't done so yet. PIcs, definitely.

Welcome from East Tennessee. Notice that most of us give our location. It helps when giving assistance. Just last week I was able to pass on a pair of handlebars to another inmate that was close by. You can include it in your profile to show up over to the left on each post.

Hello all,
Been a while since I was active. The GL1000 is still in project mode but is close to being on the road again. I recently aquired a 1982 naked GL1100. Now the question: ran fine for a couple of outings. Will start great from standstill but then sputters and dies when the throttle is rolled on. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!
