Pulled home a 82 gl1100 aspencade. runs but needs exhaust and tuneup. Of course I'll be stripping it down to naked. It came with a truckload of extra parts. I'll probably posting some part up for sale on Ebay. Can I link to an ebay listing in the for sale section?

Welcome to the 'Wingdom.

You will need 5 posts before you can put in a link, but after that, sure.

Nice looking bike, I might change the belts and ride it for a while before cutting into it ...

thanks! I've promised my wife I would do NO cutting on this one.😆🙄. Just plan on pulling off the fairing and bags, going thru carbs, changing fluids, checking and possibly changing belts and than riding it. I've got some cosmetic things I'd like to do to it that may include putting a fairing back on but that will wait till next winter.

Welcome from Wisconsin. Changing the belts is really just cheap insurance. A broken belt will create all kinds of havoc. Just saying...

Current Rides:
'Grumpy' - '81 Standard, now fully dressed.
'Layla' - '81 Standard w/dealer installed fairing and Hondaline bags.
'Scarlett' '76 'Survivor' nekkid as a j-bird!

Under Construction:

'Quikie' '81 gl1100I back on the lift, project with the step-son!

In The Shed:
'81 gl1100I barn find aka "Josie, the farmer's daughter." (almost comatose build)
'77 gl1000, roller parts bike.
'82 gl1100I, 'Old Crusty' titled roller parts bike (free!)
'82 gl1100I, My first 'Wing, and an expensive lesson!

Looks like a good project. I'd definitely do the belts. One of my 78s broke a belt before I got it. Luckily no piston damage but it bent 3 valves in the left head.
