I'm new here.

I'm new here. I maybe visited a site like this in the 2000s. I just can't remember. They say that's what happens when you get old. I know where there is a 76 GL1000. Looks to be a bit beat up. The engine wasn't frozen up before storeage. If I can get it registered I want to do some work to get a rat rod bike going. Will maybe have to hunt up the last owner of several years ago. The signed title wasn't good enough for the local license people. So here I am, Rustyzipper from the state of Misery. North of Kansas City, in Misery. Will be lurking to learn some things. My weakness is most anything mechanical but I am willing to learn. Probably want to go with mild not wild. Thanks for listening and Be Well, Rustyzipper.

Hi, from Maine.

I thought it was Miz-urah? Maybe it depends on where in Missouri you live. Hmm.

Desert Refugee Mom lived in Phoenix from '78 to 2018. I have spent some time up there good, and rough. I still have hopes of finding the old owner. A 76 can be a jewel. I figure if I can get the title the rest is just some mechanic-ing and welding help from a friend here in Misery. We used to get your kind of heat with quadruple the humidity. But only for a few days in the summer. Thanks for all the welcomes. Be Well, RZ.

Might try a different vlerk or office. Sometimes a call to the state helps (depending on the state). A signed (maybe a notarized signature in KS) title should be all you need. Check state web sites for any further paperwork required. Here in Tennessee, you can download all forms in pdf format.

welcome from the east coast of Canada..
we have a "lost registration" process here. In a nut shell you get the police to run the VIN to make sure the vehicle isn't stolen. that and a bill of sale usually will get it registered in your name.
