Thanks for letting me be a part. I have a modified 83 interstate bagger. Lots and lots of mods and work. Been in a thousand pieces for almost a year just about back together.

Welcome to learning bout NGWs central. I'm one of the unofficial "cast of characters."
Enjoy, lots to learn. I highly recommend shop talk to learn how to avoid not quite a few mistakes.

Thank you to everyone for all the welcomes. I've seen some of your bikes and to say that mine is looking good is very much a compliment. I do have some pictures in an old phone that I will get posted on here. Building an old motorcycle one of the keys is knowing how to weld and luckily I do know enough to get myself in trouble most times.

Yes I believe those are all three John Deere colors. I purchased them that way. I am actually painting the entire bike with gloss black this winter with semi truck frame paint. It actually has a surprisingly good finish for single stage, and is almost as durable as powder coat.

Here are a few pictures of what I started with a couple things I tried and how I ended up here with it built the way it is.

It would only let me post five so here are some more. Mind you this is all over a 3-year timeframe.

Interesting. Suggest you start a thread in the "Goldwing Underground Customizing" forum as more folks are likely to see your build info there. Just a thought. Enjoyed the pics.

Awesome thank you for the advice I'm actually trying to get everything in order of how I built everything. One of the members here named Brant sparked my interest on this site and I'm glad I decided to go a little further.

Looks like you had to do a lot of engine work, what with anti-freeze in one cylinder and blown piston in the other. How far down did you end up taking the engine?
