Just joined! Just modified an 81!

Just found this forum. Good to have another resource. Bought an 81 Goldwing in February. Drove to Chicago to pick it up. Didn't do the engine work, (timing belts, fork seaks, and of course rebuild of carburetors), but pretty much did everything else by myself.

Now that it's done, for now, I feel lost not working on it. That 3 to 4 hours every weekend, especially during this Covid stuff gave me something to plan and look forward to.

Here are a couple of before and after pics. Made it into a sort of tribute bike for my brothers service in the Army, as well as our sons.

Let me know what you think! Richard

Thanks for the comments. Took a few pics along the journey, but nothing intense. My rewire on the front is makeshift but that's a future winter project. Learned from that whe I rewired the rear tail lights adding led turn signals, tail light and signals and an led light bar which had everything as well. Just wish the wiring was heavier.

Thanks again, from Kansas City area, Richard
