New guy from Alberta!

#1

Post by MrRenner76 »

Well after 3 posts in the tech section, I'll introduce myself real quick. Bought my 79 about 3 years ago from a friend who was "upgrading" to something a bit newer. She's real low mileage, only showing about 47,000 kilometers on the clock. Everything is original and in real good shape, with only a few parts are starting to show their age a bit. Carbs were re-jetted by a previous owner that did a lot of riding in the mountains so she runs pig rich at my altitude and I've noticed a float bowl or two leaking so I'll probably re-jet them and replace the gaskets at the same time over the winter.
I feel real bad as some health issues have prevented me from doing much for the past 3 years, including riding the bike, but getting back to my old self recently and need to get the old girl on the road before winter hits!
