Hello to one and all! I'm a newbie down in Houston, TX. I don't even own a GW yet, but have been daydreaming for a few years about finding a good used one, and stripping it down (if possible, maintaining the option of keeping some luggage attached for trips).
I can't ride any bike with fairings, but Goldwings have always fascinated me. Just so much bike!
My current ride is an old Virago; bought it barely coughing with life, and slowly got it running as smooth as it'll ever be- with the help of a great shop, as my mechanical skills are pretty sad.
Anyway, I've decided it's time. Scraping some cash together and actively looking, and in the meantime stumbled upon you folks. Happy to see it's doable, and has been done beautifully so many times.
Sorry to be rambling. I appreciate this site very much, and am very excited to be here. Ha e a great day, and please bear with any stupid questions I may have. Cheers!
