Free to me (first Goldwing)

Hi all, I am Lexi and I just picked up my very first 1978 GL1000. So the story on her is that she will run great with a new fuel pump.......we'll see. I have a lot to do before I start riding her but the start is fluid changes and the all important timing belt change. After that, the real project begins.

Thanks for the welcome. Maddens it is!! I am thinking this project will become a modified café racer of sorts. As is I just cant stop sitting on it and admiring her.

Welcome! FYI, The 1100 pumps fit just fine, too. Sometimes more available. Not really rebuildable.

Sundance, I think they are but I am not really going to leave it stock anyways. A lot of the parts are going to be striped off. I already started the deconstruction. I have found that many of the upgrades like the engine guards are aftermarket where rigged on instead of done right.
