Hope life doesn't suck for anyone right now. Hard time of year for some, I know.
Just picked up my first wing, an 83 aspencade. Sold my last bike 9 years ago for her engagement ring. That was a new shadow that required no work, and I'm looking forward to tinkering with this one.
My general intention with the bike is to fully strip and rebuild only to the absolute minimum necessary to make it functional and legal.
Came with the plastics removed and I stripped it further. Wiring harness was a mess, and I pulled the entire thing. Still working out the specifics, but I'm looking forward to sharing our progress (the kids are actively involved).
Merry Christmas everyone, and thanks for letting me be a part of such an awesome community.
Merry Christmas Y'all

West Michigan. I'm a Texan who married a Michigander, so we're Michiganders now. I appreciate the rec on the wiring diagram. Found one in the shop manual today and I was trying to trace the bare essentials out. I'll post a plan once I get it mapped out.

The upside of being up north is I can subdue the itch to get on the road just long enough to get some work done on it.
