She's a little dusty in the pick but she has a full set of vetters and only 15,000miles!!! :o I plan on going through the carbs gas tank and fuel pump rebuilding the brakes adding new SS lines, wheel bearings upgrading the ignition to dyna electronic and dyna coils, fluids changes and new timing belts if there is anything I forgot let me know thanks for having me!

Welcome from your northerly neighbor state, Wisconsin! Looks like a great start. And it's my favorite color! Sounds like you've played around with a few of these older bikes, but a little reminder about the electrical system being touchy shouldn't hurt. And of course the ever popular 'change the belts' chant, lol! Enjoy the ride!

Welcome from the UK. You're off to a good start and you have a plan! Enjoy the ride and ask away if you get stuck.

I had a CX500 back in the mists of time, and sure those bars aren't original.

1985 GL650 Silverwing another mistake, horrible bike
1986 CBX550 Good commuter

Per chewy999's pictures the cx is definitely not a custom I can see how the goofy bars that were on it would have made you wonder that was the first thing I ordered for it
