Hi there,
Just bought my new 75 candy blue GL1000. My profile: 47 y-o married, 2 kids and with big affection for classic (and "classic to be" bikes) with not a specific brand or origin preference. I currently own a '81 Kawasaki GPZ550 with 10k miles, a 1998 HD Sportster, a 2002 Honda XR 650 and a 2016 BMW R nine T - and of course the new '75 GL became the new queen of the herd.
Looking forward to learn from you guys about the first gen Gwings, and to get together with those South Florida members who enjoy to hang out and share ideas and information.
My new bike has been very well taken care of (carb job done by Piston Pete in TN and timing belts replaced 2 yrs ago) and rides smooth except when letting of the throttle it rattles and makes an interesting vibration at the engine. From what I have read so far, there could be a number of reasons including Primary chain clatter, Carbs sync, Ingition, etc. I will start digging in this forum right away in order to narrow down the problem. If anyone could guide me on looking for the right Topic, it will be greatly appreciated!!
Happy to join the community. Cheers, Juan.

Welcome from the UK, enjoy the ride. I would consider changing the belts just to be absolutely sure you know their history.
