Interesting. Pretty much answers why different people get different mileage. I also would monitor the temp of the tire under different conditions.

Some good information there. One thing he didn't mention is that the number on the side of the tire is the maximum cold temperature that the manufacturer recommends so you probably should stay at or below it.

I was taught that bikes with sidecars attached generally need higher than recommended pressures and the ideal pressure can be determined by setting the tires at the manufacturer's max recommended pressure, then sitting on the bike and bouncing it a bit while watching the tire and then reducing the pressure until you start to see a bit of sag (you can't see the bottom of the sidecar tire from the bike so I observe it while standing on the step and bouncing).
I usually end up using the max recommended pressures.
I never thought about how the weather affects that.
