We broke all the rules when we bought this place. Fist house we looked at, didn't get a home inspection. lol
I told SWMBO'd that I didn't care what style house we got but I didn't want a split entry or a yard with a bunch of things to mow around..
The house..the first two pictures are from the real estate add. Notice all the trees in the yard.
What sold me was the location and the 2 car garage..
The last picture is how it looks currently. Still doing reno's but I keep telling myself..it's money in your pocket..eventually..maybe.

Ha! Right now I'd settle for a 10x10 concrete slab and a canopy, lol! I'm building the lift in my basement, but there's not much chance of working on a whole bike down there. I do move a lot of assemblies up and down the stairs. Josh and I carried his bare frame/ engine combo up after re-doing the engine, and he finished it in the driveway. I currently do my big jobs in a storage unit that's packed with too much other 'stuff'.

This is the bike "shop". I spun the beige shed 90 degrees to the right and built the 14 x 14 piece on it. Hopefully someday I'll have enough metric tools in there that I don't spend half my time walking back and forth to the garage.
It's wired. Just need to insulate it and cover the insulation with something..most likely osb sheets

Ow on the bike fall over. Had the same thing happen to my ST 1100. A replacement mirror setup was 200 bucks, and I cracked an oem windshield that I was never able to replace. Since everyone is showing their domains, here is mine after I spent last week replacing siding and painting it. A three bedroom modular with an Alaska insulation package. My favorite part is the 20x20 garage in the back of the picture. Room for 11 bikes. hahahaha. My neighbors and I are in talks about installing a solar grid since I have an extra 1/4 acre next to the house.

I got kind of stuck on the caster/ outrigger setup, and now it's probably way more elaborate than it needs to be. The front will be much easier, just a cross bar with screw down feet to lock it in place. Right now it's like a huge multi- directional skateboard, lol!
The table top is about finished, just needs the wheel chock and tie-down points mounted. I'm hoping for one final trial assembly and test lift this weekend, then clean-up and paint!
Getting closer!

Well, the test lift was a partial success, at least... we got the 1100 up in the air, but there are a few issues with sag and flex. Putting on my cypherin' hat, there isn't enough cross- bracing to tie everything together on the jack end, allowing the angle iron to twist and bend.
While it's not a total failure, I'll be hacking up most of what I've done and starting anew on the long side rails.

I would swap the angle iron on the sides for rectangular tubing welded to the original jack sides. that and a couple of triangulated braces in the middle should fix the flex.

I’d be cautious about that angle from store displays. It’s not meant for anything structural just like bed frame angle isnt. It doesn’t weld very good. At the very least I would use dissimilar steel welding rod. There’s a lot force being put in that. Just my 2cents.

I’m the proud owner of a 85 yo Bolinder 50 hp twin cylinder hot bulb engine with a bent injector that cannot be replaced. This due to the fact that the previous owner built the frame for the cooling tank out of steel like that and with the weight of the water in the 30 gallon drum it failed and fell on the injector. Not all angle iron that looks the same is actually made the same.
