Thanks for posting that, it looks great! It brings back fond memories because my first bike was a gt380 loaned to me for the summer by my then girlfriend. '72 model I think, and it had been given the cafe treatment by '74. Clip-ons and rearsets, in the Adirondak mountains, I didn't know how lucky I was until many years later.

Love those machines. I had one in my early twenties. Was a runner. Buddy of mine had one in high school. Out run the cops for a while until they set up a road block. He was just fifteen at the time. They let him off pretty easy.

I remember the smell very well - mainly because I was behind one often. Dang things were really quick. Buddy of mine sold his Titan (T500) and bought a GT550. Both were dang quick...and fast. I recall the rear sprocket on the T500 being ridiculously small. I have no idea what the tooth count and/or top end was, but I know it would light up my T120V.

Here’s a pic of my 7900 mile unrestored 72 t500 the rear sprocket is a 33 tooth and is quite small
