1983 Tempter project coming along

#1

Post by 1983lux »

Hey all, luckily I've got my trusty wing to ride while tackling this little brat bike project. Gave me something to do during lockdown. It's my first attempt at a bike build so lots of lessons learned along the way. Some before and after pics follow. Still needs tank, peg mounts, and front fender painted a dark red, along with some harley mufflers I have kicking around. Also will add a mini speedo and some kind of simple side covers.

There’s been a couple tempters come up for sale in my area. Interesting twin. Most older Suzuki bikes are tuned for really good low end. They figured out that’s practical and fun. Dependable, nice size.
They sound kinda like an xs650. Much better than cb350-450. Ahead of their time.

Yeah man, they are a great little twin. Runs really smooth, so much simpler than my wing haha. Sounds crazy with the pods and harley pipes.
