2014-2015 Goldwing Valkyrie
Is it a Goldwing?
Is it a Valkyrie?
I'm tossing around the idea purchasing one of these.
Has anyone rode one of these?
How does it compare to our beloved old wings?
https://youtu.be/jWF8cIVk7Gw
Ive not drove many other bikes. Looking for something like the originals but better
The trophy and tigers I drove felt like toys.

Re: 2014-2015 Goldwing Valkyrie
I’ve ridden one, fantastic machine. Cant compare it to a gl1000 in any way. Feels like Twice the power, twice as smooth, brakes, handleing. All modern. Low seat height, lightest new wing ever, plus you can find them less than 10k, with almost no miles. I was really surprised at the super low speed handling. Maybe it was the low seat height that made the diff. I don’t know. My buddy sold his. Needed storage and weather protection. His bike got wobbly above 80. Freaked him out. But I’ve never read that anywhere.

Re: 2014-2015 Goldwing Valkyrie
It will be my next bike. I could get one now but I swore I'd pay off all my debt first. So about another year.
I could finance it now but I don't want to lock into 200/month for 5 years. I'm debating selling my 77 that's not working but I'd like to try to get it working first. I'm on a 2 month waiting list to be seen at a mechanic. I need to do some more of my own troubleshooting first but fuck a nice bike that's ready to ride sounds fantastic

From what I hear, they are fantastic.
--Fantastically well handling.
--Fantastic performance.
--Fantastically ugly if you're not sitting on it.
(That last one might just be personal opinion, tho...)

It is quite modern. I don't think I'd like it a few years ago but I like it now

...and those giant side radiators are probably the one thing I actually love about it!Sugs wrote:Its just the horrible side radiators I can't get past.
Personal preferences are a wonderful thing (and I mean that. I tend to like my bikes chonky, and while the bit in the middle looks pretty good, the front and back ends + tires are a bit aniemic for my taste.).
