Managed to snag one on eBay! Anyone know who made it?

Looks like a Markland. IIRC those were made to fit both the 1100s and the 1000s (with shims on the 1000).

not so rare. I've seen a lot of them
1978 custom GL1000
1977 custom with 1200 engine
1985 gl1200

Have a couple of the Markland with and without spacers and the unicorn one in the last picture too. Maybe offering them for sale once I get my GL1100 fixed up with one of the Markland ones.
Not sure if the unicorn will fit a GL1100 too or only the GL1000. Anyone know the answer to that question?
Current Bikes:

1966 CL77 - Honda 305cc - Dual purpose - "Gentleman's Scrambler" was a period moniker.
1967 CL175K0 - Low production number with #802 engine serial- winter 2019/2020 full restoration.
1972 CB350F - Baby Four with low mileage - Cosmetic refresh to the next level 2021/2022.
1978 CB550K - Very original bike with only 7499 Km. from new - light cleanup and refresh done.
1983 CB1100F - Canadian model - DOHC Supersport in pristine low kilometre condition from new.
1984 GL1200 - Standard model in showroom condition - two owner bike from new.
1984 CX650E - Restored summer 2017 - a rare Eurosport model - excellent one owner bike.

Fork spacing is the same and I think the fenders are interchangeable so the bolt holes should line up???

I have the unicorn on my CBX, the Markland on my 78 GL (with beer can shims).

Yep, Unicorn fits both.
82 GL1100 Interstate-Oldewing October 23 BOTM

There was one of those on a 78 that I flipped a few years ago.
I thought it was so gaudy looking that I tossed in the scrap bin.

I have one of those on my '80 freebie, it immediately caught my attention and will go to the '81, seems like a nice piece.
