How many bikes are too many?
I know its a personal thing and we all have opinions and reasons....post em.
I've had up to 4 sitting around at one time. Which when I started down this path would have never believed that happening. Now I just have one.
But,
Being afflicted with MBS I feel it comin on again.
I'm thinkin at least one more maybe 2. not GL's this go round. bmw
Then again.... I told myself no more bikes. That was 5 years ago.

Re: How many bikes are too many?
I had to make a list to keep them straight in my head... When I bought my first GoldWing, I figured it was probably going to be the only bike I would own!
Runners...
81 gl1100I "Grumpy" Daily rider
81 gl1100 Standard w/Hondaline bags, "Layla" refurb almost completed
76 gl1000 "Scarlett" survivor with a few mods
In progress...
78-79 gl1000 "The Jalopy" two into one mash-up
81 gl1100I "Quickie" not so quick collaborative build with my stepson
81 cb650 working on bits and pieces here and there
In the queue...
79 gl1000 custom. Lots of ideas bouncing around in my head, slowly collecting parts
82 gl1100 custom. Even more ideas, totally different direction
79 Yamaha SX750 Triple
Parts bikes...
77 gl1000 no title. My 'practice' frame, and parts donor
82 gl1100 good title, good engine, kinda rusty
2X gl1100 engines
1X gl1200 engine

Re: How many bikes are too many?
I love Liam's first post.
I'm married to an angel who will let me buy as many as I see fit.
I do believe I do need another project bike.
I'll never sell my first a 77Gl1000.
Worked my rear off on it and wore out a wallet.
I've no idea how much I spent. It was both fun and frustrating. As yall know I'm ham fisted. But I learned. If you aren't learning you aren't living hard enough.
2ND Yamaha VSTAR 950. SOLD After hardly riding.
3rd Yamaha 1300 gift to my son
4th 2017 indian Scout still here.
I'm getting the bug to ride but am preparing for Cateract surgery
Today the temp was 73 deg F.

Re: How many bikes are too many?
Too many to park out of the weather.
I presently have three runners and one project. No room for more. Even at that, the Hunley is in the "family room" side of the basement. Planning to show Hunley one more year, ride the '79 in hot weather, ride the '06 in cooler weather. The '78 project in the garage now will be sold this summer.
