1975 called.........

#1

Post by robin1731 »

They want their motorcycle back. This is not mine. Customer that bought it new and did this in 1975. Loves it still to this day. This thing is hard to move around. Obviously it's top heavy and those bars pull so far back and are so narrow it makes it isnt' very fun to get around the shop.

Those are 10" over forks.

It's his bike but...……….

Wow, blast from the past. I bought a similarly outfitted Honda CB500 in the early 80's. First thing to go was those spindly forks, got stock replacements from Forking by Frank. That bike turned into a café bike before anyone in the U.S. new that a café bike was cool. I bet this thing handles like a springer front end with those forks flexing away!

They were used for better control of bikes that were run on the sand on Daytona beach, and then sand of the beaches in California. Back when bikes were allowed on the beach. (or so I've been told)

Yeah, I recall those glossy aftermarket seats. They were popular and I ... er ... might have installed one or two - but definitely not of the king/queen integrated sissy apparatus. Just a little too FFO.

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
