Horns

I want to increase the horn decibel output. Presently I have stock horns, and a previous owner installed a crash guard that required the horns to use a relocation plate, which is unsightly.

Looking for good and loud, and mounting them someplace other than stock positions.

Any hints, tips or downright being led by the nose is welcomed!

The biggest thing to remember when upgrading horns is the need for a relay to activate them. The contacts in the stock horn button can not handle the current of modern horns and by putting a relay in there you protect that switch.

Stebel and Wolo air horns are small (so easy to mount most anywhere) and LOUD. As mentioned above, use a relay and sufficiently heavy wiring to activate them.

Had the Fiams on the DRZ400 {with a relay}.
Kinda fun to make noises like a 70's Pontiac with a street legal dirtbike!

Thinking I will change the crash bars so I can use the stock mounting points.
