congrats, good for you - and my parents were together 63 years until my Mom passed in 2014, but they don't all work out that way... I wish, because then my kid would have turned out better than her mother raised her with me only getting visitation and her sabotaging me at every turn. and yeah, I took care of her car during that time too... :lol:

You got that right. My wife of 43 years costs way more than two bikes and two cars to maintain.

Good Evening Folks;
Robin said . ." Talk about a thread highjack. :roll: lolol " . .
I was thinking the same thing, especially as today is our wedding anniversary, 34 years, but my good lady is in Vermont helping her 96 year old mother. Just me, my bikes and the cat here.

I feel pretty lucky. I'm 42 and my wife of nearly 16 years doesn't mind the bikes at all. In fact, she and my six year old daughter both have dirt bikes. I find working on my bikes and cars relaxing (most of the time) and I do almost everything except air conditioning and paint. I don't have the equipment or inclination to do a/c properly and I am terrible at paint and bodywork. I love rebuilding engines and manual transmissions. The satisfaction of bringing machinery back from the dead is one of the best feelings.

After 41 years, my wife care little for riding but will go occasionally.
Once I finish a trike, she says that she would go more and on long trips too.
She has her hobbies and I have mine but we still do much together.

I tried to do inner tubes for the first time last week and after pinching both of them with the tire spoon and $30 in tubes down the drain, I surrendered to a local shop. Everything else I do on my own.

I have found that if I buy two tubes, I never pinch the first one. But if I only have one tube, it will pinch everytime :evil:
