My longest ride thus far.

#1

Post by 77Gowing »

I eventually got the guts to ride from San Angelo to Abilene to get my Scout looked at on a factory recall. I usually can't ride more than about two hrs on my Scout before my keister hurts. All in all round trip was 320 miles. I know I'm a wimp. My wing I can ride for hrs. One thing I noticed though that I'm more comfortable riding because I no longer have a death grip on the bike. Funny, I had no near mishaps until I was at the end of my street. To different vehicle's cut me off.
Happy to say that I was riding like I'm invisible.

On any long ride you should plan to stop every hour or two even if for nothing more than to stretch your legs and change position. It can make a big difference in your comfort level and avoiding fatigue.
