Dang, I miss my last VMax. It was nothing like the one above, but it was far, far from stock. Big bore, Stage 7, frame and swingarm braces, Kerker, T-Boost Mod, Sportmax seat, drag bar, blah, blah. It would have made a neat stable mate to the CBX... <sniff>

The Pipemasters on that CBX are to die for! (I still love my RC pipes).

Now, I'm not normally one for non-stock exhaust setups, but I'm not going to lie-

If I had unlimited funds and a brand-spakin' new CBX, a set of those 6-into-6 pipes would be the very first thing I would get for it.
1997 Valkyrie- Light Cutomization, but Too Busy Riding
1980 KZ1300- Bike's Haunted
1976 GL1000 (Yellow)- It Runs (Poorly) and Doesn't Leak (Mostly)
1974 Velosolex 3800- Better Than Walking
1972 CB750- Broke the Chain And Ate the Motor
1969 CT90- The Most Fun You Can Have on 90ccs.
1965 CA77 Dream- Needs a Full Teardown, but Complete

All advice I give is only valid until an expert corrects me.

It would take unlimited bucks, Lucien. They're over $2000 new. Even used they commonly go for $1500.

There's probably not an exhaust system out there that sounds "bad" on a CBX, but this one is special...

Few motorcycles evoke that bike trigger in the brain like a Kerker equipped V-Max. The sound is hauntingly like a big block Chevy.

I would certainly bet on the V-max for the win in a race....

A factory stock VMax would outrun the CBX. That one is decidedly NOT stock. I would say that the CBX would sound better getting after it, but Mike pretty much nailed it above. The Kirker sound on that V4 cannot be described, only experienced. Did I mention that I kinda miss the VMax? (I've had three).

Yea, I had Supertrapps on my Vmax...not quite the Kerker sound, but good none the less. From what I have read, that Gen 2 Max has upped the game quite a bit.

6 into 6 on a CBX is one of my favorite sounds,

Gen 1 Vmaxes are easily one of my favorite bikes, it would take a whole lot to convince me to get rid of mine.

You're not helping my 3 year VMax withdrawal drought, 26. Maybe I should start looking for #4....

My Gen 1 felt like a money pit...a fast one, but still a money pit.
