My go to for inline stuff is K&L but I have used Sumo before. I've not had any issues with them.

I wound have looked at K&L but I'm kind of at the mercy of a 18 yo that knows everything. Then again, I don't do much parts buying. Good news is, the kits seem to be good enough to stop the carbs from dumping gas. Probably take a ride up and down the street tomorrow morning.

Carbs are off again, still dumping fuel. It stopped for a whole day. Question; the petcock has 3 positions. Prime, run and reserve. When in run or reserve, fuel flows only when there is vacuum. If fuel flows without vacuum, is the petcock bad?

Yes. There's no OFF position. I've never been overly fond of vacuum petcocks. They're "supposed" to default to the closed position with no engine vacuum.

Replace it. With one that isn't vacuum operated. I know I can get them for KZ900/1000's on ebay. Should be able to find one for that bike too.

Having never owned a Suzuki, I can only use my Yamaha XS1100 as reference.
Way I see it, if the petcock face has screws holding it together, I can imagine it could be rebuilt. Check for a rebuild kit to see if it's possible from that angle, but if you can get parts and get it open, it shouldn't be overly difficult.
That being said, vacuum petcocks ARE a bit of a nanny device. They literally only exist to stop fuel flow if you forget to tun the petcock off. In this case, it doesn't even seem like they gave you the option. Again, not sure what direct replacements exist, but if you/your son can remember to turn the petcock off after a ride, maybe replacing it might not be a bad idea.
Either way, I'm sure you've got options.

The petcock has only a fey parts and appears to be rebuildable. I replaced the two o-rings and the diaphragm is not torn. Guessing that I don't have the exact size o-rings since it will still dribble some. Brief search did not find the exact match. Kind of like the idea of the vacuum control. Especially for the mew rider.

Picked up a parts bike today. $35 and a one hour drive. Hard to go wrong at that price. Has wheels, complete engine with carbs. I'll have it broke down in a couple of days.

Spent the day tearing down the parts bike. Engine turns over freely, carbs are crusty dirty, neither brake was working and someone went after it with three different color spray paints. On the other hand, the starter is good, throttle and clutch cables are good, rear caliper is now working. Rear master cylinder won't build pressure, needs rebuilt. Many parts are going in a tub for now. Need to get this thing out of the way. Put the carbs back on again and number 3 is still dumping fuel.

Another busy day on the Suzuki. Pulled the rear wheel, disk brake and swing arm from the parts bike. Cleaned and prepared parts to mount on the project bike. Swapped the above parts onto the project bike except for the master cylinder. Had to order one and should be here in a few days. Next big thing is to order tires.
