Great looking bike!! I owned a 69 CL450 which was the Scrambler version. I rode it all over the Midwest. Coming home from Wisconsin on the Illinois Tollroad, it started making a lot of racket. Engine issue. I pulled the engine, found metal in the oil. I ended up rebuilding the engine as a thrust washer on one end of the crankshaft had disentegrated. I had to replace the crank, bearings, wrist pins, rods & pistons. But I really had a lot of fun with that bike and would really enjoy finding another.
Thanks so much for posting.

Well I got the original seat back on and been working out some bugs, but all in all this bike is turning out pretty good, thru this process I’ve came to accept that it’s not all original and the mileage on the bike is not accurate, but the engine runs clean and has no drips, should be on the road soon....

I have to seriously agree. That is a really nice machine. A motorcycle distilled down to the lowest common denominator.

Guess we all have special feelings about our first bike. The 75 750F was mine and still stirs up emotions seeing one again.

Beautiful bike, and desirable. I restored a 1970 CB450-K3 several years ago. I painted it black, although I know it's not a color offered in 1970. But it looks good in black. I really like the toaster tank on the earlier ones though.
