+1 (good luck)

Not surprised you've had your eye on one...you kinda let the cat out of the bag recently.

It had a Vetter Windjammer and saddlebags and top box fitted but had been taken off by the seller some time ago.
Missing a few bits, like the front fender, headlight insert, front indicators, Seat, grabrail and indicators and rear footpegs.
I have most of the bits needed except the front fender and headlight insert, so I have already swapped the fairing and luggage for these.
It is dirty looking because the guy has sprayed some kind of grease on the chrome bits to stave off corrosion.
Should clean up nicely.

Hearty congratulations! That's the kind of road trip that I like – one that results in coming home with a new toy - as opposed to coming home with an empty trailer.

Sounds like the guy knew what he was doing if he protected the metal. Reminds me of obtaining vintage Russian firearms slathered in cosmaline - and still sometimes finding it in the nooks and crannies months or years after the initial cleanup!

Beautiful sulphur yellow survivor.

It looks like a good start. If you don't mind, I know goldwings in Europe are not cheap, would you be willing to tell what you paid. Just curious. If not, I totally understand.

Good luck and have fun with it. I am partial to the yellows myself.

Glad you got it upright! I'm also guilty. I used Photobucket, but it's like one big advertisement. I'm lazy I use Facebook to orient my photos. anim-cheers1
