Hand signals
I don't ride much in groups but was following a couple Harley's yesterday and observed that I saw/noticed their hand signals much before I noticed brake or turn signals. I think I'm going to start using them along with the lights during daylight hours.
Anyone else notice that? It is a change in the bike and rider's silhouette while brake lights and turn signals in bright sun aren't as obvious.
I haven't taken any courses. Maybe that is stressed in the classes?

Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

That's why I like LED lights in the rear.
The thing with hand signals are so few people know what they mean anymore.

Re: Hand signals
I like using them before I turn, it keeps me from forgetting and driving around with my blinker on. If I'm a stop I'll turn my blinker on just because I don't want to keep my hand up. I don't use the stop hand signal, my hands are usually too busy when I'm stopping and my break light works pretty good.
I bet only .5% of melinials even know what I'm doing but at least I'm trying to get their attention, if they're not already looking at their phones!

Re: Hand signals
I agree with people not knowing hand signals. I will still use both. I'm just suggesting we all use them as during daylight hours they gain others attention better, especially tailgating cagers.
