Not an ST, but I ran a Kawasaki Concours for a few years before coming back to a wing. I am 6'3", and had all kinds of issues with the ergonomics. I fitted lowered pegs, and had my seat reworked to increase the seat height to footpeg distance, which helped a lot. It made for a comfortable ride, but I never could get used to the heat from the engine. Probably a good thing my wife and I were past trying to have kids - things really got baked! It's back to the Goldwing for me.

Struggling a bit with the riding position .... I'm a little too big for the bike, knees bent too much and banging on the lowers .... the adjustable pegs helped the situation but there's still room for improvement .... bike's great otherwise ....

Rider Magazine's November issue features the ST1100 in their Recycling column.

Pros: reliable motor, decent handling.

Cons: wimpy alternator on Pre 1996 bikes and odd tire sizes.

In case you didn't notice .... My attempts to shrink to fit my ST have been unsuccessful .... so I'm going back to an old 'Wing (1982 GL1100i) .... that means my 2001 ST1100 is on the market .... see ad in 'For Sale' forum or check Toronto Kijiji ....
