I was just out in the garage working on the VM22SS carbs on a 1978 KZ650. I took a minute and looked around. There are 2 Kawasaki's and 2 Harley's in the garage and only one Honda! And that is a 1971 CL350 with a Bingham sidecar attached. Not a single Goldwing to be found! And to think that I got back into motorcycles with a GL1200I, then another GL1200S and a GL1200A.

Maybe the various chemical fumes, ever present out there, are getting to me? lolol

Nice looking outfit. Is it set up well? EG: any push/pull, steers straight, no headshake?

I've had it up to 60 MPH and no head shake. Normal accel pull to the right and brake pull to the left. Seems to go straight but I spent some time aligning it. I have about 7/8 inch toe in and 3 or 5 degrees lean to the left. I've only got about 75 miles on it so far but at least I'm not fighting it to run around town. Actually make a good parts bike!

3 - 5 degrees seems a bit much for lean. I don't measure degrees on mine... I set it about 1/2 bubble off with a level held against the brake disk. If you decide to part out the bike, give me a shout. I would be interested in the sidecar.

Drum brakes so best I could do is a level on the handle bars. I kinda kept leaning the bike out until it would go straight down the road on the normal town roads here in Illinois.

No not parting it out. I bought it to give the grandchildren rides. I've already had 3 offers to buy the whole rig. Seems like almost every time I use it to buy parts or groceries I get an offer to sell. It's just not for sale..... right now... unless someone wants to offer me a ridiculous amount and I can go buy a Ural.

Keep it for the grandkids! They'll get great enjoyment from riding with granddad then anything else. My daughter won't have kids, they've decided not to, I'm jealous!
