Buyer Beware - DIY Auto Lights.
So, myself and another new member on here found a great deal on Amazon through a Company called DIY Auto Lights. It was a Truck-lite 27270C LED headlight on sale! Sweet, I ordered one.
A week-ish later and I recieve not one, but two headlights, and they are fake chinese knock-offs. Plastic lense, not glass. No trucklite logo or DOT Cert on the lens, and the packaging shows no Trucklite logo and the wrong part numbers. Now I have to wait for them to either meet my demands for the correct product, or issue me a refund. I'm furious right now.

Re: Buyer Beware - DIY Auto Lights.
Yea it sucks. hopefully this gets resolved through Amazon easily. If they ship me the real deal I will be happy, but at the very least a refund would be nice. What's funny is, after I put in a poor review, their listing for the Trucklite disappeared. There are other negative reviews on their Amazon page for the same exact thing, and almost all were posted today. I left a nasty one myself. Seems to me somebody thought they could be slick.

I do for important things, or things I need to have right away. Something like this that isn't crucial I can deal with it. I'm protected not only by Amazon's buyer protection, but if all else fails I can file a dispute for services not rendered through my bank and force the reversal

Re: Buyer Beware - DIY Auto Lights.
Well, here's an update. Doesn't make me feel any better. I expressly informed them that I want the product that I ordered. I never once stated I wanted a refund. So what do they do? Tell me they will refund me.
"Hi Daniel,
It looks like our warehouse has ship out the wrong item. Truck-lite (27270C) is currently out of stock and will have some more mid to end of next month. Please see attachment for the paid return label, we'll issue full refund once we receive the item back."
Now I am going to fight them, because I purchased said product when they said they had 14 left for $70 off the normal asking price. I get a refund and I lose that deal. I refuse. I can wait, my current headlight works just fine

Our town is the home of Zippo Manufacturing Co, maker of the world-famous Zippo Lighter. They have spent millions upon millions of dollars combating Chinese copies of their product.

Make sure you have proof of return including pictures and have them sign for item returned. I sent a toy gun back to them that looked nothing like what I ordered. They said they never got it and did not refund my money to me.
