I'll see if I can get this to work. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. As you can see I have a long ways to go. I've already started gathering parts and will post updated pictures in the restoration area as progress is made.

There's some potential there (the bike ... not you as a photographer ;) ).

Well, it's got a lot of 78 parts on it and they are the best looking wings.

It will be an interesting project for you I'm sure. Good luck with it.

Doesn't look bad, really. Good luck! I've got a 77 I just started resurrecting.

Thanks for all the comments. While there isn't a 4 cyl. wing I don't like, I have to agree the '78 - '79 models are my favorite style wise. It was sporting a Vetter Vindicator fairing w/Cycle Sound and some Bates bags and trunk which I have removed. Someone put an 1100/1200 seat on it, aftermarket chrome 1100 valve covers, 1100 exhaust (rotted) and that awful plastic front fender. I am collecting parts and info needed to get this baby as reliable and good looking as I possibly can as this will be my bike and I'll pass my Valkyrie on to my dad so we can ride together. Having read a very large majority of the threads on this board and seeing the fantastic work many of you have done have given me inspiration and confidence.
Here's just a couple of pics to give an idea of where I'm headed with this project, though I will have some hard bags, probably Vetter.
