83` Honda CB1100F and 80` goldwing compatibility front end
Maybe someone here may know. I have an 1100F triple tree I didn't need , bought a complete front end for the fork tubes so this was left over, as well I have the front disk calipers. I do like the Trac front end so will the front wheel and tree work with my GL1100? Anyone here ever tried the swap.

Good question. They both should have 39mm forks, so it is possible the 1100F forks will slip into the GL1100 trees. Then it is just a matter of brake rotor diameter and spacing from the wheel to mate with the 1100F calipers.
I could not find the 83 1100f on a bearing size comparison chart, but the 900F from 80-83 has the same size bearings as the Gl1100. There is a good chance the 83 1100F is the same size, but you would have to confirm. Next question is stem length. If they match, it is a real possibility the complete front end, T-trees and all will swap.
Honda GL1100 (80-83)
Honda CB900C (80-82), CB900F A/B/2B/C/2C (80-82)
Upper: 26 x 47 x 15
Lower: 30 x 55 x 17
Then the next things of concern to check are wheel bearings, axle size, axle length, spacers, speedometer drive, rotor size and spacing from the GL wheel to the spacing of the 1100F forks. Could work.

It sounds promising. While cleaning I just found the tree`s so I haven't done any real measuring but I know I need fork seals on the current front and if I am going that far I was considering the whole enchilada with the trac lowers. The only thing I didnt want is to have to use the mag instead of the comstar for obvious reasons.

I remember that CBF guys used GL1100 forks as an upgrade on the 900Fs.
Definitely worth a try I think.
