valve adjustment gl1100

hello all!
need to clear up a little confusion im having about proper valve clearance.
my manual says intake and exhaust all set to .004 but the sticky article in the forum says .004 intake and .005 exhaust.
so, which is it?

Ted are you working from a aftermarket manual? Factory manual is .004 and .005 for the 1100 as far as I know. The 1000 is .004 for both but I like them a bit looser

I've got a Clymer manual.
It shows all the 1000 stuff up front with updates for the 1100 in the back but nothing addressing the valve clearance. So thsts why I've got .004 top and bottom in the book.
Ok, thanks for the info.
I'll adjust accordingly.
