Fuel Fliters

#1

Post by Prospect »

My local independent parts supplier sold his business and it was promptly turned into a hispter paradise. Imagine, scented candles, sweaters, some helmets and motorcycles. They're catering to the motorcycle lifestyle rather than guys who need obscure parts for a 50 year old motorcycle. In face a lot of shops are going this way.

I know Randakk used to recommend Emgo but I think there have been issues as well.

I'm looking for a good reliable leak free fuel filter. It shouldn't be this hard as this is a generic part. If anyone finds a good reliable one from Amazon please post. I'm in Canada and I'm not paying $25 shipping on a $6 fuel filter.

Don't buy Emgo. I had one disintegrate and cause my 1500 to quit in the middle of the Utah desert. Randakk's filter is good except the 'chrome' plating comes off and the underlying metal turns to grey dust. I would just buy OEM.
