master cylinder for the clutch arrived today...and now I want to match the brake master cylinder.. :mrgreen:
Will a 1200 mc work on a 1000?
1982 1100 standard. (sold)
1986 Yamaha FJ1200
2000 Yamaha Roadstar
1976 GoldWing. running but not on the road
1978 Goldwing. future cafe project.

Just hope I am not wrong, but memory seems to think that is correct. No reason to grab the Brake master cylinder however.

I am wondering if the bore size is different.. considering it is a bigger heavier bike I'm assuming it may be.

Too much is better than not enough pressure. You could always regulate with your hand. I believe a 14 mm bore is what the front brake master needs to be on a 1000, going on memory here so you know how that can be.
