Getting there slowly.....but there's nothing more relaxing that buffing up an old engine to look better than it did coming off the production line 40 years ago! (Maybe)

What shape was the aluminum in before polishing? Did you go all the way down to a matte finish and repolish, or just top polish it? What compound/polish did you use?

I'll see if I can find a before pic. It was rough before but part of what I enjoy is just using a tube of Autosol, a cloth and some elbow grease.

Awesome. I've been using Wenol polish with good results. As much as I like flat finishes or blacked out bikes, polishing aluminum and stailess is pretty satisfying.

Very nice work! Polishing things keeps a person in touch with their inner crow, at least it does for me.
