Uprate forks ?

Gonna do forks seals on 87 gl1200,is there a way to stiffen them up a wee bit while im in there ??.

I am not intimate with 1200 forks but as a general rule the thicker the fluid the stiffer the dampening. If they are sagging then you need new springs or you can add spacers to the top as a cheap way out. My first 1000 had a sag due to the aftermarket fairing and i added some spacers and it helped for several years.

Thanks bud I've found a pair of progressive springs on eBay , hope to have bike for a while so invest I must ,got more questions and appreciate your input and patience ,quite surprised how much is still available to buy online

I used that as the basis for eliminating the need for air pressure in my forks.

BTW: "Dampening" means making something moist. Reducing vibration or oscillation is called "damping"
