Repairing paint on throttle

Is there a standard paint color for the switches . Turn. Horn. Lights Start... I have seen orange and neon green.

i purchased model airplane paint from Michaels and Hobby Lobby to match the old color on the switch. it looks like one is a lime green and the other a bright orange. this week i will repaint the green

If one is green and one is orange they are from different bikes. As someone said earlier the green is from later years.

is there a reference to the year and color. i believe this is on a 1978 gl 1000. i have parts from 76,77,and 78.

i went with the color originally on the part. used a pin applicator from Micheals and model airplane paint.

You picked correctly. Both of yours are later '78-'79.
Don't know if there's a reference elsewhere, but here's a few pics...

Heck, I didn't even know they came in green. Or if I did ever know, I forgot.

. the finished product. Red did not come out like i wanted it. this is low budget remod, so it will have to suffice.
